I've been doing a little work on my spare time translating (in order to learn) passages of the New Testament from Koine Greek into English, then into Spanish.
Before I post some of my translations, I will list a few of the web resources I found that have helped me do this kind of learning.
(Note: translation always requires a good level of knowledge of the original language, as in verb tenses and moods, as well as other technical details. Since I am seeking to become familiar with these things, I rely on the technical data often provided in the captions where that information is given.)
New Testament Gateway has a list of excellent sites of good Greek New Testament resources.
Biblos.com has an interlinear Greek - English New Testament that displays word information when you rollover a word.
And my trusty E-Sword has been a huge help in all this as well, with all its free Bible versions and Dictionaries.
Here's an example of some of the work I've done so far in translating:
Revelation Chapter One (Green=Grk., Blue=Eng., Red=Spn.)
Ἀποκάλυψις Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, ἣν ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ ὁ θεός, δεῖξαι τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ ἃ δεῖ γενέσθαι ἐν τάχει, καὶ ἐσήμανεν ἀποστείλας διὰ τοῦ ἀγγέλου αὐτοῦ τῷ δούλῳ αὐτοῦ Ἰωάννῃ,
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show to his slaves the things which must soon take place. And he made it known, sending it through his angel to his slave John,
La revelación de Jesucristo, la cual Dios le dio, para mostrarlos a sus esclavos las cosas que deben suceder pronto. Y El se hizo subido, enviandose por medio de su angel a su esclavo Juan,
ὃς ἐμαρτύρησεν τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τὴν μαρτυρίαν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, ὅσα εἶδεν.
who testified to the Word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, as much as he saw.
quien testificó a la Palabra de Dios y a la testimonio de Jesucristo, en cuanto como vio.
μακάριος ὁ ἀναγινώσκων καὶ οἱ ἀκούοντες τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας καὶ τηροῦντες τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ γεγραμμένα, ὁ γὰρ καιρὸς ἐγγύς.
Blessed is the one who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and who keep that which is written in it, for the time is near.
Dichoso el que lea y los que oigan las palabras de esta profecía, y los que guardan lo que está escrito en ella, porque el tiempo está cerca.

By experience, don't go Greek->english->Spanish....sometimes it is harder and things are lost in that 3-way translation. And, as you know, spanish is more abundant, in terms, than english ;) hehe.
Abraham,
I understand what you mean. However, I only speak one language: English. So as a way to move along in learning Spanish, I might translate from Spanish to English or English to Spanish. But the little Greek that I've learned so far has been only from Greek to English.
When I want an accurate translation from Greek to Spanish or English, I refer myself to various versions such as the LBLA, NBLH or RVR for Spanish and the NASB, ESV, etc. for English, but not to myself. ;)
The reason I did it the way I did is simply to learn. If you see any mistakes in either language, I'd really appreciate having them corrected. Thanks.
